I never intended to be a premium Bible collector or a Bible collector at all. That said, I own 4 Schuyler Bibles, Zondervan Premier, Premuim ESV Study, MacArthur NASB Premium Leather, & many others + various translations. Over the past 7 yrs, I’ve been ‘trying out’ far too many. I started to question my purpose in all of this. I also decided that I’d stop buying and settle on the translation I felt led to, the KJV. So, I labored - using a KJV dictionary app, notes, and the Holy Spirit. One day I saw an online review of the KJV Lion. After several days I was drawn in…not just by the beauty of the yellow leather & in my case, black over gold art gilt as opposed to fore edged…but to the utility. This had to be “the one,” and it was and is. The paste off is fine for me. The paper, the font, Christ letters in blue, cross reference system, and the definitions for archaic English on the same page = the most immersed I’ve ever been in God’s Word and the most satisfying Bible reading experience I could ever imagine. Yes, it’s beautiful. Yes, the price and service from Humble Lamb is amazing - but most of all, I am no longer seeking “the one.” Now what to do with the rest of these Bibles? If I buy another, it will be a gift or the edge lined Lion. Thank you Lord & thank you Humble Lamb.
