The KJV Lion - Dark Brown features the Authorized King James Version in a highly readable verse-by-verse Bible text in a double-column format. Combining an 11-point Milo typeface,line-matching, archaic words defined, and illustrations from Gustave Dore, this edition is the perfect tool for serious Bible students.
The KJV Lion Dark Brown is an excellent bible. The art gild is very superior with its forest green and gold combo. The artwork of Gustave Dore displayed enhanced the ambiance when reading its text. And with its references and definitions located and arranged creatively at the bottom allows the reader to enjoy read the Word of GOD flowingly, without any interruptions.

This Bible is beautiful! It’s so elegant, and the layout is just what I was looking for. Another bonus is the font size. It’s easy for me to read without my readers.
I was so excited to receive this bible! The binding is sturdy, the cover is amazing and incredibly well stitched. The font is clean and crisp, and the 11 pt is very easy on the eyes. Speaking for myself, my eye cannot really discriminate the black words from the blue in most of the light I tend to read in. However, I knew that going in. I prefer red letter, but also read black letter, so I can adjust to the blue. In bright sunlight, I can easily tell the black from blue. I love the images contained throughout the Bible. Gustav Dore’s art really lends an old world appeal to the Bible. I absolutely love the illustrations. The green under gold art gilt is stunning. I love the hunter green with the brown. The three green ribbons just look perfect and are functional. And now I come to the reason for 4 stars instead of 5–although this in no way affects the functionality of the Bible, the artist in me can’t help but see this cosmetic flaw. On the gold gilt, on the long edge of the Bible, there is a very small area where the green has spilled out onto the gold edge. When the Bible is closed, you can see the green in an area of about a quarter inch by quarter inch. Along with this, there is a tiny bit of spotty discoloration along the length of the long edge where there is faint green mottled on the gold. The top and bottom edges of the Bible are perfectly clean. Again, it doesn’t take away from the ability of the Bible to function, but this bible is most certainly a work of art. As such, it seems like a defect, however small, that should not have made it through quality control at this price point. Overall, This Bible is amazing, and hopefully my issue is just a one off.
