I have been so impressed by Humble Lamb (HL) even before this purchase. A mission-driven company who helps distribute low cost Bibles worldwide, whose attention to detail is second to none and who communicates with their customers in an informative manner. However, I was a little hesitant to purchase a “second” from HL. I have to tell you the NKJV Shepherd I purchased as a second is another company’s first. A couple of slightly wrinkled pages in the beginning was nothing for the overall value. While I was a bit frustrated by the whole Seconds sales process (I really wanted the NASB) I am thrilled with product.
I have long admired the Humble Lamb Bible and longed to have one. When mine arrived it was carefully packaged and the cover was surrounded by paper to train the edges to stay in place. EVERYTHING about this Bible speaks quality! I am so delighted to own one. Thank you so much!
The NKJV Shepherd Bible (seconds) was everything I expected and wanted. Although I did see some imperfections, those were irrelevant to me. I love the single-column layout, the size and type of font and the words of Jesus in blue; I wonder being in Kentucky if Humble Lamb sells more of those in Big Blue country :-) This is the first real premium Bible I remember owning and reading on a daily basis and I'm happy it was a Humble Lamb. I'd consider buying the NLT version, the BSB version when it comes out and a CSB, ESV or LSB version if those ever become available. Also, I'm happy to support a local business here in the Bluegrass.
The recent special 40% off discounted special on the NKJV full yapp was impossible to resist. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the only flaw was the first few introductory pages have creases. Otherwise, Humble Lamb premium quality is present throughout the Bible. The coral coastline color is so beautiful and unusual. I absolutely love my new Bible from Humble Lamb ! This is my first full yapp, but I have several other beautiful Bibles from Humble Lamb.
