HIStory NASB Lunar Yellow

Dear HIStory NASB Bible Team, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding work put into the HIStory NASB Bible, Lunar Yellow edition. The unique layout, featuring the mesmerizing 200 pointilism artworks by Gustavo Doré, truly makes this edition stand out as a masterpiece. The choice of the lunar yellow meritian goat skin for the cover adds an exquisite touch, making it a true headturner. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are remarkable, enhancing both the aesthetic and spiritual experience of engaging with the scriptures. Thank you for creating a truly exceptional and inspiring edition that not only elevates the reading experience but also reflects a deep reverence for the Word of God.

‘Beatrix the Blessed’

This is my first Humble Lamb bible. I have a couple premium bibles from both Schuyler and RL Allan, and this one is right up there with those two publishers as far as high-quality bible construction. It’s my first compact premium bible and was at first a little worried about the thickness of the text block. However, with the slightly thicker Meritian goatskin leather covering the block, I had no worries. I loved the feel of the pebbly but smooth surface of this goatskin. After working it in, this bible is very pliable and manageable for a thick compact bible. I also love the color combination of the lunar yellow against the black accents of the leather liner, the black ribbons and the black page gilding. Yellow & black has always been my favorite color contrasts. I always give personal names to my bibles and journals, and this one I decided on ‘Beatrix the Blessed’. If you google the name, it is associated with the words “Voyager; Traveler; Blessings”. It’s also a reference to a name of a female character from a secular movie that uses the same color combination along with a samurai sword…lol. Although the movie is far from a Christian one, the image of a character in yellow/black carrying a sword reminds me of the scripture verse from Hebrews 4:12, as the Word of God being sharper than any two-edged sword. Love the fact that the words “The Word Of God” is also present on the spine of this bible!

A very ideal everyday-carry Bible

Humble Lamb did not disappoint and has set the bar high again with the release of the NASB HIStory edition. Its stunning appearance and design, high readability, excellent craftsmanship, and portable format make it a very ideal everyday-carry Bible. Its exceptional qualities overshadow its minor flaws. Overall, it has quickly become one of my favorite Bibles! (BTW, lunar yellow + black colorway is the perfect combo!) Read my full review on

Next Level

Wow. Humble Lamb broke the mold with this one – the NASB HIStory Bible is in a class of its own. Are there a couple of typos and repeat illustrations? Yeah. That’s what happens when you push the envelope, which is exactly what Daniel and his team have done. The sheer amount of artistic ambition on display here is stunning – all in service to The Word of God. The story-centric layout is revolutionary. Instead of the reader being driven to “check off” chapters read, the design invites one to slow down and be immersed in the narratives. Yet the cross-references and drop caps lend themselves to seamless study – the best of both worlds. Physically, the book itself is perfectly balanced and surprisingly light to hold. The goatskin cover is extremely soft without being weak, and Lunar Yellow remains Humble Lamb’s most striking color. The black art-gilt is hypnotizing, like staring into space with millions of gold stars – I’ve nicknamed it “galaxy gilt”.
