To the reader,

about the translation.

The New King James Version, one of the most popular and respected translations of the Bible, was developed by 130 scholars, ministers, and theologians following the translation principle of "complete equivalence." The result is a version that maintains the integrity of the original text while making the Word of God more accessible.

Meritian Goatskin.

You just have to feel it.

Durability and Flexibility. That’s what makes a cover worthy of encasing the Word of God. The NKJV Shepherd now features the same premium Meritian Goatskin leather as the KJV Lion. This outer layer creates a supple, durable cover that will protect your Bible for years to come. It's impossible to explain the way Meritian Goatskin feels in the hand. You just have to try it for yourself.

With black Meritian Goatskin cover, blue-under-gold art-gilt, and yellow ribbons.

Single-
column
design.

The Humble Lamb Bible is designed with mathematical precision and beauty through the use of the Fibonacci Sequence. The Fibonacci Sequence reveals a mathematical relationship found throughout nature called the Golden Ratio, which serves as the basis for the precise geometric balance and harmony of the Humble Lamb Bible.

Though an often overlooked part of Bible design, we have designed the layout of the NKJV Shepherd intentionally and aesthetically. A single-column text block, 45-75 characters wide, provides an ideal reading experience, even for long periods of time.

Words of Christ in Blue.

Instead of the traditional red found in many other Bibles, the NKJV Shepherd features blue-letter text for the words of Christ. Over 300 million people suffer from color blindness, the majority struggling to see the color red most of all. To solve this problem we've selected a vibrant blue which is both easier on the eyes and less distracting than red-letter alternatives, highlighting the words of Jesus without sacrificing readability.

Masterfully handcrafted.

The NKJV Shepherd features a rare but highly durable method of binding: edge-lined binding. Edge-line bound books don’t need a book board between the lining and the cover, allowing for the signature flexibility of this Bible. In addition, the perimeter of the cover is stitched to prevent the liner from separating from the cover over time. The book block is Smyth-sewn, a method of binding that not only provides durability but also allows the Bible to lay at from Genesis to Revelation.
