Excellent Format

I still enjoy the NASB 95 more, but this is an excellent text block. The gilding Surpasses that of Schuyler and the print is more consistent throughout. Small font but still very readable. Now if you could please consider this text block for the NKJV & a SC VbyV for the KJV then we would have even more winners. :)

The Bible as a Work of Art

While I no longer own the NASB HIStory (a matter of translations), I do believe that it is a beautiful presentation of the Bible, what with the drop caps to denote a new passage, the very legible font for a compact Bible, the high quality paper, the full set of Dore artwork, the supple Meritian goatskin and the combination of the page gilt and high quality ribbons. For such a Bible, I would say that a translation that has a more poetic leaning would fit it best. The NASB is too studious for such an artistic presentation. It breaks my focus away from the immersive reading experience I believe Humble Lamb was going for. A more poetic text like the NKJV would be a better fit, I believe. In that manner, the text and the pictures would then enhance the reading experience, as one sits to casually absorb the Word of God as the transcendent form of literature it can also be! But if you find the NASB to be a highly readable translation, then you certainly MUST consider the NASB HIStory for your library!

Thankyou Humble Lamb!

I was going back and forth for a long time on whether I wanted to purchase this Bible and now I'm so thankful I did. A year ago I was hospitalized with encephalitis. Since then my ability to read and retain comprehension of what I've read has diminished significantly. It was most noticeable and frustrating when reading and studying The Bible. Since receiving and reading my History Bible I am now able to comprehend my studies again. I believe the way it is layed out is exactly what makes it easy for my mind to grasp and retain what I'm reading. The dark art gild also is a huge help. This Bible has been a huge blessing for me and I am so grateful to the Humble Lamb team for producing such a great Bible. I love it so much that I bought a second one during the discount. The only thing I would change is the color schemes. The bright colors I could do without. I noticed that the leather on my amethyst Bible is very shiny and has a plastic feel, while my rose gold one has a nice supple matte feel which is so nice to hold. I wish the rose gold one had a black art gold. I am going to add that myself. Other than those two things, this has been my best Bible purchase yet and I highly recommend everyone buy one.
